What a fantastic afternoon we have had! One of our stars brought in a wand for show and tell this week and inspired the whole class to want to make their own. She then kindly offered to help children to make wands and even wrote me a list of art resources that she would like from the cupboard to set up her ‘wand making table’.
Year 2 Park came to visit us today as they have just finished reading ‘George’s Marvelous Medicine’. They told us all about their favourite parts. Thank you boys and girls!
Ask your child all about their shape monsters which they have created this week. They will be the main character in your child’s own version of Not Now Bernard and will get up to lots of cheeky things around school!
Today, we have been learning about Baptism in our RE lesson. The children acted out their own ceremonies and even included a prayer and a song.
Well what a spoilt mascot we have in 1 Hall. This week she has returned from a super exciting weekend wearing a new cardigan and a handmade collar!
This week we have had a new little girl join our class team here in class 1 Hall. What a fantastic start she has made and with such a beautiful big smile each day!
We had a bit of a Christmas themed afternoon today! It’s slightly early but at Hall Park, we are very prepared so that your child can design a card which will be given to you at a later date so that you can order things such as cards or mugs if you wish to do so!
I’m sure you’ve heard all about the story we are reading as part of our ‘stories from familiar settings’ unit. The children absolutely loved acting out parts of the story – especially the bit when the monster gobbled Bernard up!
Our mascot has had such a fantastic weekend! Our little superstar even made a bed for her to sleep in at school – it even has a fairy door! What a great effort, thank you.
Today we did our smell investigation as part of our science week. The children had to guess what the pots contained using their sense of smell. Ask your children what we found in the pots!
